I've seen these on the lower right side of Disney blu's they are a green "G" with some kind of symbol next to them

I've seen ie on the following titles"

Mater's Tall Tales
Santa Paws
Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 set
Sorcerer's Apprentice

has anybosy else noticed these?

I actually noticed them over a year ago on a lot of titles that I've ordered from the states so I don't think it's really new

every title I order from amazon seems to be canadian now.
I don't know what the deal is.
I'm assuming they've just added these to all titles so they will be there if they end up for sale in Canada.

My god who doesn't know what the Fleur-de-lis looks like (Even Americans should recognize it from history class or at worst the New Orleans Saints logo) to not clue in that they are the Quebec ratings Some even say Double au Quebec above it Quebec has a different ratings system for home video than the rest of Canada so putting both ratings on the case means they can just ship the one case throughout all of Canada and combined with the US ratings also on the case in the US too obviously. The ratings they use are G, 13+, 16+ & 18+ so even if something is a PG in the rest of the country instead of a G it will still be a G in Quebec due to fewer rating classifications.

I beleive the Boy Scouts of America use a Fleur-de-Lis as well.

they're not actually the Canadian version or else you'd have bilingual text on it

Disney don't do bilingual cases. They release the same copies all across Canada and the US which is why they have all three rating systems on the back even if purchased in the US.

Except maybe old releases or something but even then I never recall French on Disney DVD or even VHS.
