call me stupid, but do the UK and US have different versions?

why do the US have the "unrated"

and we get "special extended edition"

i am guessing it is the studio? ..... US is Sony and the UK is EIV ?

which would be the better version?

The U.S. version does have PCM. The U.K. version only lists the sound as DD, but who knows how acurate Amazon is. They listed the U.S. version as DD, AC-3. No one has used AC-3 in 10 years. Are these two different region disks? Might be safer to stay with the U.K release. The movie looks to be the same. Check the time of play on both.
