So is the 2D/3D version selectable when the disc boots up or something? I was half expecting there to be 1 disc for each version.

Is this a US or Europe promotion? I bought a Sony Bravia and a 3D bundle last week through Amazon. I got an online code for Cloudy WACOM and IMAX deep sea which I should receive in about 6 weeks. The 3D bundle had Alice in Wonderland in the box. I would really like to hear more about Bolt an RE Afterlife to see if I'm eligible for the promotion. I currently have RE Afterlife on preorder from Amazon.

This is the first combo disc for me, on my 6 3d blu sofar. When you click 'play movie' a second bar pops up wit choice of 2D or 3D, then a third bar gives the standars sony option of 'play with movie iq' etc. Worked perfectly on my sony bdp s550. And no, i did not try selecting 'play 3D'

Thank you! Been wondering this for a while, some one told me it would probably be on two discs but I swore that I read it was a single disc release. So how's the pic and sound? Don't need to be detailed or anything just hope that the quality doesn't suffer from there being two versions on the same disc.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned...I see an awful lot of people hoping for a steelbook for Afterlife

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...fe72a7c8f9en02

Someone is bound to get a hold of a bunch and sell them here on the forum

Bummer. I would have preferred to order from them versus HMV, but oh well.

I'm sure we would have found out something by now from a retailer. For sure BB and Target don't have steelbooks since they're ads are already out. The only one left is Wal-Mart I guess.

Walmart DID have the first 3.. And the only reason we found that out is someone put them out early and a member found them WALMART never advertised that they would even have steelbooks.Even future shop did not advertise them until the week they were out.

But those were quite some time after they were initially released. Wal-Mart simply bought Futureshop's stock and repackaged them with a bonus disc.

Thanks!

I'm not surprise the PQ & AQ isn't top notch! Gotta love Sony!

I saw this in theaters and the PQ was amazing.

The Tomandandy score is one of my favorite of the year.

the 3d pack is just one disc. do you think there is any difference when u watch the 3d disc in 2d as opposed to watching the native 2d disc?

I don't understand this statement. You say "isn't top notch"
yet the review states otherwise. It gives a 5/5 for audio and a 4.5/5 on video. What isn't top notch about that?

Reacted to this myself, but just assumed it was a typo, and that the 'thank you sony' was sincere disc is awesome, but very loud. Usually play dts hd ma at -5 to -9, had to go down to -12 at one point.
