Great price for a great player, BTW does it support D-THD or DTS-HD yet?

No it does not. Set up the player to output Linear PCM Uncompressed Audio via HDMI and you'll be experiencing Nirvana !!! [Jim]

So now there are 2 sub BD players, that Sony BDP-S300, and the Samsung BDP-1400, which is $279 or so I believe, very good.

Another HD-DVD talking point to flush down the toilet.

Is it the same 5 free movie deal or an in-store deal?

Default Another Sub $300 Blu-Ray player!

This past week at the Fort Sill Exchange they had two Blu-Ray players on sale for $299. The Sony 300 and then a Sharp Blu-Ray player (I forgot the model). Both were full 1080P players. Two of the guys in my office area bought these players (one each). That makes 7 guys I work with that have gone Blu! Because they bought the players on a military exchange they didn't have to pay tax, saving even more money, and they got the rebate form for 5 FREE Blu-Ray movies. What a deal.

I saw the Panny BD30 yesterday (Future Shop). The price was 599$. I have never seen this model with a 699$ price tag.

No price drop for the Sony in Canada.

MSP for the Panny BD30 is $599 on the Panasonic website, so that is not official MSRP?

It's still at $399 in some places... J&R.com still has it at $399, hopefully it will be coming down across the board pretty soon.
