Default Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy re-release March 1st

I really wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or pull up an old one, but here goes anyway...

The Pirates Of The Caribbean movies will be re-released on March 1st to coincide with the release of On Stranger Tides in May. The single releases appear to be the current two disc sets with a DVD copy added. But the new trilogy box set cover art mentions a bonus disc featuring "never-before-seen deleted scenes", an On Stranger Tides "Sneak Peek" and a printable movie voucher.

I was looking to upgrade them to Blu when I noticed them on Amazon. Guess I'll wait a bit now.

Pirates of the Caribbean 7-Disc Trilogy Blu-ray

Pirates of the Caribbean 7-Disc Trilogy Blu-ray Review

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Blu-ray 2BD + DVD

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Blu-ray 2BD + DVD

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Blu-ray 2BD + DVD

It's the MSRP... Amazon mostly always discount at 30% so it will be around 51$

True, but either way i won't need to by them again, don't watch them enough to warrant it.Will be good for those that don't have them yet.

Sorry about this post, if I stir the pond...

Original BD, re-issue, BD/DVD combo, BD/DVD/DC combo, extended version, director cut, final cut... Do you folks like to buy over and over?? That is why I already stop buying, and waiting...

7th disc? damn you Disney >_<

I'll wait for Christmas and the box set with all four movies before I rebuy them and I'm sure that box set will have the new disc as well

These are also being re-released individually as 3 disc combo packs (2 BD/1 DVD).

The original listing for the first film has an incorrect cover art that misspells the actor's names. It's tacky

Its cool you havent purchased them but they wont look or sound any better than what many of us already have. Heck - these were some of the first titles on blu-ray. Im glad they're releasing them or whatever but I cant see too many people double-dipping on these. Not really any point.

Thumbs down Pass.

And in a few years we'll see a remake of the trilogy.

Yea, I am against douple dipping. I was actually looking in the trading forum and around for a good deal on these and found out about the re-releases. I'm hoping Best Buy has these for $20 each because I have a soon to be expiring RZ certificate.

When I saw the announcement about a week ago, I didn't know what to think until I noticed that all it included was just a DVD version of each movie. I had purchased the trilogy, the individual releases, earlier last year when they were on sale for $15 each at Best Buy. While I wouldn't mind the bonus disk, it doesn't justify re-purchasing the set all over again. I'm fine with my current disks. Also, it most likely has movie cash included with it.

These are supposed to have never before seen deleted scenes. Looking forward to what those may be.

No Double Dip for me. Got the individual releases (with slipcovers) from
Best Buy for $15 each back in 2010.
