Default Karate Kid Part III?

Does anyone know if Karate Kid Part III will be coming out soon on blu ray? I've been wondering why they only released the first 2. Does anyone know any info on this?

I have no idea but I am guessing that Karate Kid III did not fare well at the box office so I am guessing they think they will not sell well on Blu-Ray so they did not release Karate Kid III on Blu-Ray

Hillary Swank probably still cringes when someone brings that film up to her.

Unfortunately, probably not. "The KK Part III" was by far the best of the series in my opinion, but the general public (and critics alike) labeled the film as being exceptionally poor. I think Sony figured it wasn't worth bothering with (actually, I think the real reason is that Sony was secretly afraid Thomas Ian Griffith would look so good in hi-def, that nobody would ever want to watch any film in the series besides "Part III.") As it is, "The Karate Kid Part III" DVD is of fine quality and will more than suffice for fans like myself. However, I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I wish Sony had only released "Part III" in hi-def, rather than the first two films...

Elizabeth Shue & Tamlyn Tomita both looked ten times better than Robyn Lively in my opinion. Also the villain in part III was one of the most atrocious actors I have ever seen. Got Em!!

If you could remove the stupid "not girlfriend just friend" and "bonsai shop" subplots, karate bad-boy Mike Barnes kicks the competition.

Are you serious? I think it's easily one of the best performances in film history...be careful, you might become a victim of the "Quick-Silver" method if he finds out you're talking about him like that ...

There's not a thing I would change about "Karate Kid Part III," it's a rare example of a perfect film (perfectly funny at least)...

Actually yes I am. But I have to be honest I didnt care to much for your boy either. The hire help's acting was to forced and way to over the top for a film like this. Your ponytail guy wasnt as bad but that isnt sayin much lolol. We still cool though. Got Em!!

To an extent I guess...But I actually love the film, no joke. And I'd take "the Karate Kid Part III" anyday over every film that has ever won an Oscar for Best Picture. Thomas Ian Griffith's performance probably ranks in my Top 5 (certainly Top 10) of all time...

I loved the movie too, just not as much as the first two and I would get this for a reasonable price. Sounds like the reboot's sales weren't good enough to justify releasing the last two KK movies though.

There's no reason 3 or 4 should ever be released on BD. They were both rather horrid. The only redeeming quality to 4 was that Swank was an absolute hottie when she was that age and yes she still is.

Because everytime I watch the movie, when he's onscreen I laugh so hard I usually end up wiping tears away from my eyes , and any performance that makes me do that, not just once or twice, but every single time I watch the film, gets a spot on my list (an exceptionally rare feat) ...Rob71 also hits the nail on the head with his response below...

I completely agree with you in regards to "The Next Karate Kid," but not "KK III." "III" deserved a hi-def transfer more than the first two films did...

The scene where he's talking to Kreese about his plans and asks him if there's anything else he wants him to do. Watch his face right after he says to make his knuckles bleed. There's a split second where he's like "WTF!" Then you see the wheels start turning. Then the whole over the top "Hey! Johnny! I like that! I like that, my friend! I'm going to use that!"
