Apparently all Sony blu-ray 3D titles have this same type of 3D covers...including Piranha. My uncle works for a company which prints them for Sony pictures, which included Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Monster House, Open Season, The World Cup, Resident Evil: Afterlife, and Piranha. There was an alternate cover for Piranha which Sony rejected and they went with the cover you see now online.

Which is why I made no such claim. Good to see we are on the same page, so to speak.

Or at least a week before Christmas; it would sell more copies! I think the reason Sony did this is to not compete with sales for Salt which Sony released last week.

Smart decision by Sony. I love the packaging! Although I also love the lenticular slipcovers that come with other 3D titles by other studios.

I got a copy last week and watched it Christmas eve. I thought it was a horrible movie (in my opinion of course). Honestly felt like it could've been a "SyFy Original" film. I don't think I could sit through it again. It'll sit on my shelf since I already have the other 3, but I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it.

I'm in the same boat as well. My other titles for tomorrow are in shipping soon, but not this one.

I'm in NJ too, but that hasn't stopped my other orders from processing. I think Amazon didn't get them in yet. seems to happen from time to time.

I'm a fan of all the previous films but not a huge fan if that makes sense. Should I get the dvd version or would the blu ray version be worth it? I was thinking of saving the money for a movie I would love more......

True...true...I only buy DVDs for my family who don't want to upgrade to Blus and don't really care about HD quality. If I'm not sure about a movie, I just rent it first then buy the Blu later on sale. Unless, it's a really good price on Blu and just blind buy-- just did that for The A-Team for $12.99 this week! Would love to have all new releases have that price point after a couple of weeks!

I haven't seen this one yet but definitely get the Blu over the DVD. DVD is $16 most places and BD is $20 most places. Better AQ & PQ for $4 more
