Default Panasonic problems?

I have the Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray Disc Player. I've only used it a handful of times so far, and when I am trying to watch WALL-E with the special trivia commentary, the player keeps turning off and restarting the entire Blu-Ray disc over. I tried watching another Blu-Ray disc, and it seemed to be working fine. I got a new WALL-E replacement disc from Amazon, and the same thing still is happening. I made sure all my firmware was updated, and it was. Is this feature something that may not work on all players? Is there something wrong with my player? Also, the special trivia commentary did work at one point without issue. I know I recently updated my firmware, but I can't remember it that was before the first time I watched WALL-E (when the feature worked) or after.

Also, another question is that I heard Blu-Ray players take like 15-25 seconds to load a movie...I timed mine and it was about 45-50 seconds until the first preview started. Not that 25-30 extra seconds really bothers me, but I was wondering if maybe this was also a problem with my player and it was supposed to go faster.

Thanks.

just a stab in the dark but could it be the Secondary Audio option in the setup menu?

Also, what settings did you change on the BD player? You could try going back to default and seeing if it still happens again?

Also, what receiver are you using?

I'm not sure what you mean by the Secondary Audio option in the setup menu. I just play the movie and it won't work.

I haven't changed any settings on the BD player at all since I bought it.

Thanks.
Not sure about your first question, but with my DMP-BD60, load times vary movie to movie. As long as the movie does load and play, I'm sure it's fine. It took me a while to get used to slower load times after switching from a DVD player to BD, but you have to remember that blu-ray stores alot more info.
EDIT: Be sure to read the owners manual to get the most out of your player.

Yeah, I'm not really worried about the disc play time right now.

I am upset about the WALL-E disc not playing properly, and I only have until the end of the month to get a refund...I really like this player, and I don't want to have to return it so I am really hoping for some answers.

+1 from me. The Panasonics very rarely have issues, and my BD-65 hasn't had any issues.

Does anyone with this player have the WALL-E disc? Does the trivia track work fine?

The rest of the disc and features work fine except for this trivia track feature.

Does anyone who has this player also have the WALL-E disc? Does the trivia track play with no problems? I can't get it to work on my player, and I have tried 2 different copies.

Sometimes it will play for a few minutes, sometimes not at all. When I try to skip chapters, it will just completely stop and re-start the whole player/disc.

I have this player (purchased in Dec.) and have had no issues. Have you updated the firmware? I had to as soon as I connected it to the internet. As far as load times, every disc is different, as a poster pointed out above. I have noticed that the Disney discs load time can be on the longer side. Good luck. So far this has been a great player for me.

I don't know if it would pertain to that movie or not, but I've read where others had problems with certain discs and disabling their player from connecting to BD-Live and such allowed their disc to work.

I'm gonna say that the Secondary Audio is either on or off. What kind of setup do u have? Do u have the player interpreting the audio, or the receiver?

ABSOLUTELY. BD-LIVE CAUSES MORE HARM THAN ITS WORTH. NEVER ENABLE BD-LIVE. ALSO TRY INSTALLING SOME ADDITIONAL MEMORY "1 gig minimum" IN THE SD SLOT. CERTAIN MOVIES WILL NOT OPERATE WITHOUT THEM FOR SOME REASON.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I just have a basic set up with the blu-ray player and the TV. Nothing fancy.

Ok, here's what I want u to do. Find the setup menu. Go to Audio, and select Digital Audio Output. Now I want to know if it both say bitstream or PCM and if the secondary audio is off or on

The problem isn't with the audio not playing or me not hearing sound, the entire disc restarts while I try playing the feature.
