Default Us BD'ers are everywhere!

Just had my garbage disposal die (my Insinkerator Badger breathed its last in a puff of ozone and a little smoke). The plumber arrived with a replacement unit, and we spent most of the time (he was paid by the job, not by the hour) talking about my new home theater. He saw my Panasonic DMP-BD30K, and high-fived me. He is a PS3 owner, and is all about the Blu-Ray himself.

It was a pleasant surprise, because at work I'm surrounded by people with HD TVs who still watch 90+% SD television.

In my college bio class, a fello gamer was playing his psp, so I asked if he had a ps3. Next thing I know he was talking about getting Harry in blu. It was a nice convo.

I just had the opportunity to educate a couple of co-workers on Blu. One is an HD DVD owner who was hoping to get Simpsons on hi-def (oops!) and the other wasn't aware that the PS3 was a Blu-ray player.

Spreading the good word one fan at a time...

One of the Managers at my work (IT manager) just got a 50inch Plasma and was asking me about the Ps3. I explained bluray HD and he commented on HD DVD. I explained the drawbacks and limitation of HD DVD and then explain Bluray. A few days later he comes to me and is like ya u were right i did some reading on blurays and i have to agree with you lol.

I feel lonely sometimes because I only have one friend that supports blu or any high def format and everyone else just sticks with standard dvd. The thing is, my friend is so hooked on War Craft that he hardly uses his PS3 or HDTV. So I'm kinda left naked in the dark. Probably need new friends

I took my ps3 over to my cousin's house (who at the time only owned a 360). He recently got a new samsung HDTV and we watched black hawk down on BD. two nights later he called me telling me he bought a ps3 and 5 movies. and COD4. he couldn't be happier.

A lot of my friends is getting one for X-mas and they ask me what they were like and I told them to ask some of my other friends that has played mine and after they got educated they was shocked. They are now glad to get one because there 360's keep on tearing up. I told them I had three 360's and they were now replaced with the 80gb PS3 and I could not be any happier.

Every time someone at work gets an HDTV, I offer to let them use my PS3 to see the difference between their own progressive scan player, the PS3 upscaling, and Blu-Ray. Everyone is totally surprised by the differences.
