Default McIntosh MCLK12 Wall Clock a mere $2k~

McIntosh MCLK12 wall clock sports fancy face, massive price tag

Ever wonder why you can't find a clock that looks more like a 1970s amplifier? If you answered yes to that question, and don't mind throwing down wads of cash for novelty timepieces, then McIntosh's MCLK12 is right up your alley. The makers of high-end audio gear have produced a clock that's in keeping with their classic look and price point -- it costs $2000 and uses blue-lit amp meters to tell the time (hours on the left, minutes on the right). We have to admit, the MCLK12 looks pretty sweet, but really, whatever happened to promotional t-shirts?

Hahhahahahaha, oh WTF!?!? 1970s? Doesn't the current McIntosh's amps look like that?

Ya...that's an insane price. They make a BD player for 10k..: My alarm clock only has a life cycle of around 6 months or so..I usually end up throwing it against a wall or something of the sort lol...it would be rough if I woke up with a 2k alarm clock in pieces.

Wow that's pretty cool but not very practical - however they should incorporate it into a microwave or something ir would make a great microwave door then you could have the microwave in the rack with the rest of the gear - great for popcorn...

McIntosh is out of touch with reality at this point. Their gear is beyond expensive and from most reviews I have read of it, there is better out there in the super high end equipment sector that is actually better and cheaper. Still it looks very cool. My Dad actually has so 70s McIntosh equipment and it is awesome sounding, I assume I will get it someday but it is of course Music only equipment as there of course is no up to date hookups on the rear as it is old stuff.

I remember in The Departed they had McIntosh set up in Damon's apartment. Way too expensive. I don't think BB Magnolia has these in stock haha.
