I'm confused why people think this is a one time watch, it's still a very well made movie and great acting by Reynolds. Though I wish it ended about 10 minutes earlier.

No it's the right Buried I'm watching it now. But like I said they are all really old trailers except Last Exorcism. Maybe the Blu does not have the same trailers . Also Dead and Buried is a great movie.

I just bought this today. I enjoyed "Frozen" so hopefully this is at least just as good. I never looked at this thread before I bought it, so I did not heed the 'rent only' earning. Well...we shall see.

Thumbs down Not for me.

I cannot see myself watching this. It has one of the most obvious endings ever. Plus I doubt I would watch it again, if I did rent it or buy it.

As a movie, it had great potential which wasnt realized to the fullest. It could have been executed better.

Besides, it has zero replay value.

Just because you think you may know the ending doesn't mean it's not a great movie.

Plus, isn't that one of the reasons a rental exists? That way you can watch it and not have to again.

I know how it ends. And the ending sucks imo. Yes but I'd have to pay money for a rental, and I have no desire to pay money to see it.

I really liked the movie for the most part except
[Show spoiler]the ending because I thought for sure they where going to save him. After the whole time it sucked to watch him die.

I'm obviously just speculating, but I'm guessing that that's why most people say they liked it, but have no desire to watch it again. I'm just guessing though.

Yeah it may be. I know I won't see it again for a long time if ever. Like I said it really was a great movie and Ryan was fantastic but there is not a ton of replay value. If I can get it for a great price sometime in the future I may still pick it up.

I bought it as a blind buy because I heard amazing things from others not in this thread.

Just got finished watching it. I thought it was very good, and Ryan Reynolds acts the hell out of this thing. I had only seen him in goofy comedy movies, but he is really great in this. I can't say if I will be watching it again anytime soon, but I am glad to have it in my collection since it is so unique.

Can't wait to show it to some friends of mine

You could not pay me to watch this again...that is all. How much was the production budget for this? $100?

Actually I liked
[Show spoiler]how it ended like that. He's ****ed! Kinda reminded me of the end of the first Saw movie. Not that I don't want them to live but sometimes it's good to see movies end this way. Not everything should be a happy ending

LOL. I wished I waited to watch this on video as a rental as opposed to watching it at the theaters as I got really anxious watching this movie at the theaters with him
[Show spoiler]confined in a box the whole time
. I would have fast forwarded it to the end right away.

Oh, c'mon, people! This is a very cool movie. I adore how devoted it is to its minimalist concept. One man, one coffin, one dying cell phone, a real-time struggle to survive. It wouldn't have been nearly as intense or interesting if they had cut away from Reynolds' character to show us a generic police investigation or, worse still, sentimental scenes of his wife at home worrying. The director did a great job presenting the limited space in a very cinematic way. Loved the different colors (the blue glow of a cell phone, the hellish red of the malfunctioning flashlight).

The scene with the
[Show spoiler]snake in his pants (lol)
felt forced, but otherwise I have very few complaints.

I also thought it was interesting how they laced the horror with political anger. The way the protagonist, a decent and brave American man doing an honest job in Iraq, is let down again and again by the indifferent and/or corrupt bureaucrats he turns to for help. Very frustrating and moving, and true.

I don't know if there are actual cases of this incident that happened to our troops or civilians that went there but it sure can happen. And as an army veteran myself (served four years), I'm glad nothing like this happened to me. I'm not saying it's a bad movie; it's just hard to watch and a movie with low replay value.
