Xbox 360 game froze, help?

Today I was playing Kinect Sports. After doing a game of bowling. I was going to to the main menu. Well the game froze.

I have had this 360 for 2 months. First time a game froze. Also its the first time in months(counting my previous 360).

Its never bothered me before, when a game froze. Just annoying.

My question is.. Should I worry when a game freezes? Or is that just a normal thing that happens(not talking about if it freezes every single day, or every other hour,etc).

Nah, I've had multiple xbox's ones with red rings and others with none... Sometimes it just locks up, same as a computer, ps3 exc.

My diagnosis you should be fine

(Knocks on wood) Hasn't happened on my new one, but has happened on one of my old one's. I wouldn't worry about it. Just turn it off or unplug it, then turn it back on. As supersix4 said, think of it as a computer. Sometimes you need to shut that baby down and let it reboot itself

It did freeze again on me last night. So Yesterday Kinect Sports froze 2x.

I am glad my receipt was good till Jan. 31st at Best buy( I bought it on Nov. 6th). I exchanged it. Now Ill just have to continue to play it and make sure it was just a disc problem with my other copy.

Yeah I'd have just exchanged it had I been in the time frame even so you'd have probably been ok, some systems just have issues with games.

That's what I did last Friday with mine. I had downloaded Reach on the hard drive and every time I loaded it up it would make a noise. So not wanting to take any chances I took it back. Knock on woods, the new one has been perfect.

I just hope it is the game that was the problem. Because I only have 6 more days on my receipt. Best buy is usually really strict about exchanging system(atleast mine is). Maybe because I had a warranty with them for a year and could exchange it anytime and get a new one w/store(maybe thats why).

Then I exchanged my kinect bundle without any trouble(kinect was making a weird noise). So IDK. Maybe with BB, exchanging a system in the vaild receipt period is easier, than exchanging during the the extended warranty.

After getting this new slim 360 on Nov.4. I made a promise to myself. No matter the game, I would always install it to the HDD. Before I would only do it, if it was a game I played all the time.

I have learned from experience because 2-3 of my other xbox 360s have messed up because of the disc tray(laser,reader whatever its called) couldnt read games anymore.
