Sigh. Rio Grande won't tell you an international shipping amount up front. If you go through the order process you have to actually complete the order and then they will contact you with a total cost. Not too keen on giving a company credit card details when they haven't even told me what the cost will be.

I wonder how far back the ones from Amazon would lean? I might bite and try it anyway.

Looks like a relatively steep incline, but mine are pretty steep, too. Am I to assume that a steep incline is bad? I wouldn't mind my stands being a little less steep, overall they look OK.

Yeah man. The're simple and they don't cover up the steelbook at all. The best part is you can buy as many as you need when you need them.
Edit: I See you're in Baltimore. I'm down in Salisbury and we got a good bit of snow too. Man this winter craps gettin' old. .....fast.

Yeah, I hear ya. The roads where I work were awful. I never drove in the snow before but I swear those teen years spent playing Gran Turismo paid off. My VW Jetta was cruisin' past trucks and vans. Who says video games are bad???

Saw those today. After reading through this thread, I made a trip to Wal-Mart and grabbed me some. They're not too bad!

http://www.riogrande.com:80/MemberAr...ree_text=easel

They come in a pack of 12 for $9.05 - I decided to order 2 packs making the price $8.25 a pack. I paid a grand total of $23.86, $16.50 for the 24 stands and $7.36 for UPS ground shipping. At just under a $1 a piece, I feel it's a good deal and they work great. Sorry the pics aren't the greatest but I hope this gives a better idea to those of you looking for a good SB stand.

The two pieces...

They are full adjustable, fit the bigger steels like Monster, Inc. with no problem You can also place them two different ways. One side has a flat back and the other has a slanted back. In the pictures I have the MI standing up straight and the TNBC slanted. They're also very solid. It doesn't feel like the SB could slip out or fall over unless you were really rough on it.

As I said, I just had a hard time finding stands. I hope this helps those of you looking for a quality stand at what I feel is a great price.
These appear to be the same ones Crash sells, they are great stands. It was a good reminder that I need some more
