Blu-ray Grand Duke

I posted a question about this a while back and it was moved to the Wish List in the US thread.
But with it showing this and next week on Syfy Uk (Part Two is next Thursday at 8) and a DVD release on the 7.2.11 are we closer to a BD release? Was Tin Man released on both formats on the same day? Also does anyone have the BD of Tin Man? Can you comment on the AV quality compared to the DVD is it worth a double-dip? Thanks guys. |

A BD release of Alice here looks doubtful at the moment.
Have you seen it? I was watching it last night and switched over, I was disappointed tbh. Some of the ideas were good (the tea party especially), but the beginning was beyond dull and I didn't think the lady playing Alice was great either, but that's just my opinion. ![]() |

I've been meaning to read the books but haven't got round to it either lol. I might pick this up on DVD but as soon as I do they'll announce the Blu-ray knowing my luck. |

Maybe I'll give it another try, I'm sure syfy will repeat it (over and over and over...). I agree with the Judo thing, especially when she was a blackbelt and couldn't even get out of a move inflicted on her by an elderly man... I've never seen an adaptation of Caroll's original work yet that's made Alice particularly interesting. She always seems to be just the exposition's excuse to meet more interesting characters, which is a shame. |

I guess we need to see Wonderland through her eyes but with an older Alice there's room for depth. Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz is similar in that respect as well. The lead characters can come off as the least interesting because the supporting charcaters are so outlandish.
