United Kingdom Somewhere (Sofia Coppola/Stephen Dorff) April 2011

Somewhere (Sofia Coppola/Stephen Dorff) April 2011

From Universal in April. Barcode/UPC: 5050582823936

Managed to catch this at the weekend -a real joy to watch. Or maybe not. There's a real mind-f*** at the end [of the film] and if you don't notice it or shut your eyes for 30secs you may enjoy the film much more. I'll just ignore it and pretend I saw the film I thought I'd watched Ignorance will be bliss when I buy the Blu-ray.

I think they're having us on with a £17.99 price tag.

Loved Lost in Translation and The Virgin Suicides but oddly Marie Antoinette was never picked up with my radar.

Let's see how long the RRP stays at £24.99...my guess is that will go down by £5 or so by (or shortly after) release day, given that it's a Universal release, but I don't know about the Amazon price. That may drop to £15.99, but I don't think it will dip below that until a few weeks after release, at least.

Missed this at the cinema, unfortunatly. Definatly buying this on day one (will probably pre-order, actually). £17.99 is a bit much, but I'll pay it.

Glad to see the appreciation for this film. I love its long takes and how it avoids cliches and such. In the hands of lesser directors there would have been a few emotional breakdowns and Cleo would've been overly-precocious.

Sofia knows how to write and direct a film. Bravo for long takes, character development and THINKING!

Missed this in the cinema but know I'm going to enjoy this by the reviews I've read. I'm hoPing we will get The Virgin Suicides at some point.

I was trying to remember what the building reminded me of on the cover of Amer, it's Chateau Marmont featured on the Somewhere cover. One of Hollywoods most famous landmarks. Might pick this up when it comes down in price I really like Sofia Coppola's films.

Hopefully, alongside this, we get Lost In Translation on Blu-Ray (a UK release).

Odd, I thought I posted this already. It's saved here so was it removed?

Cover:

Only extra is the making of (17mins) which is a bit of a shame. No trailer.

Looks to be a dupe of the USA disc reviewed https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Somew.../20847/#Review and http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film3/blu-r...re_blu-ray.htm
