post searching help ?

how come i can only search all my post from 2011 but none before then such as my very first post here ?

I noticed that a few days ago, that the forums only allow me to search back a few hundreds posts, but not all of them.

That's actually what I attempted to do last week! Someone asked me what made me sign up here and I don't recall why, so I wanted to see what my first posts were.

I remember they adjusted the post search function so it would run more smoothly but I don't remember the specifics.
