Looks like I won't have to get the Canadian MK1 blu-ray after all
![]() And yeah, I'm shocked WB thinks they'll sell any copies of the second film... or at least many. In all honesty, I thought WB was going to produce one of their barebone double features for these films... that's the only way I would've had a copy of the second film. Well, apparently it's only going to be $20 retail, so perhaps a $15 pricetag at Best Buy sounds about right. Not bad for the film in HD, the "guilty pleasure" of Mortal Kombat: The Journey Kontinues (most likely just in SD, as I doubt any of it was mastered with HD in mind for the future), and the Jade DLC costume for the PS3 edition of the new game. |

This has made my day. Not because the films are coming to blu-ray in the US, but because I predicted they'd be out on or around the date of the new game's release and all 3 are coming the same day. The only thing I wish were included would be the MK: Rebirth trailer on one of the discs. Doesn't matter which movie has it but it would be nice to have seen it included.

Count me in for the first one, which is still great fun all of these years later.
MK: Annihiliation was terrible at the time, and has only gotten more laughable as the years go on. That being said, the soundtrack was pretty rad. |

Nice-- I was thinking about getting the Alliance version to replace my old non-anamorphic DVD, now I don't have to!
And I agree about MK: Annihilation. They probably should have just done a Double-Feature set or something, 'cause I can't imagine too many people picking up that one. Too bad they didn't produce any new extras, save for the Journey Continues animated thing (which I vaguely recall is total crap). A retrospect or something would have been cool. |

Looks like they are coming out along the same time as the new game.

![]() I was a big fan of Mortal Kombat back in my childhood and a Mortal Kombat movie seemed epic to me. I'll mainly be picking up for the nostalgia it might bring, I really haven't seen it much since the 90's, but I'm sure I'll still find some good entertainment. I mainly enjoyed the Scorpion and Sub-Zero fights. |
