It was pointed out at Criterionforum.org that a new restoration premiered in January. I expect it to look fantastic and hopefuly there will be a digibook release in the US. I've started to love them.

I will take whatever U.S. release they're willing to give us for this.... I just need to have it! I'll stick to my DVD for The Color Of Money however.... |

![]() ![]() Was never really a fan of this film (it's been 15 years since I watched it) and I disliked The Color of Money which left a bad tatse in mouth too. I'd heard about the Blu-ray so sat down to watch my UK Steelbook SE and was transfixed by the film. A real joy. It's a really nice transfer so I'm looking forward to the Blu-ray to see what they've done. ![]() The USA is getting a 'book' http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004SEUJ7S I'll be watching the special features today of the SE DVD and I hope we get something more with this Blu-ray 50th anniversary. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004M8RYSW http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...;-1&sku=961689 http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/1...n/Product.html |

![]() ![]() If you're gonna photoshop eyes I can't think of a better pair. No blue Blu in the US it seems. Watched most of those extras, not bad. Amazed to hear George C. Scott was actually younger than Newman in the film. He seemed like 20 years' older to me. |

O.k the UK Version is region free, it even shows the FBI warning before the Movie starts on my US Blu-ray Player: It has English 5.1 and Mono and Spanish, French, Portuguese and German 5.1 Channels, so I think it will be the same disc in all those regions: Extras play on US Player no Pal content here that won't play.
