United Kingdom Black Swan: the pre-release thread

This should be given a release date any day now so I thought it deserved it's own thread in anticipation.

Has anyone seen this yet? I saw it yesterday and it blew me away, really one of the best films I've seen over the past few months and Portman truly deserves her BAFTA.

Hopefully this will get a great release that makes full use of its amazing audio as well as it's visuals.

I saw it the first weekend it was out, and at the time I thought it was good, but not great. However, I've now seen all the big Oscar-nominated movies that have been released this year, such as The King's Speech, True Grit, The Fighter etc, and the one that sticks out the most in my mind is Black Swan. The more time passes, the more I find myself wanting to see it again, and think it really is going to end up being one of my favourites

Great film. Really enjoyed this at the cinema, and I'm sure I will on Blu-Ray. Day one/Pre-Order for me.

Totally, it's completely stuck in my mind - Aronofsky seems to have a knack for films that stay in your head for ages. I don't know if you've seen Requiem For A Dream, but when I saw that I didn't think much of it but it haunted me for days and now I think it's great. I think Black Swan's better though, and I liked it right off the bat.

Which is why I am looking forward to the new Wolverine Movie Aronofsky is doing, His manner of making movies and the dark and violent nature of Wolverine should be a great match up

Not usually my sort of film, but I saw this after hearing all the hype, reviews and awards recognition it was getting. Thought it was good, albeit a little bit messed up, but not great or something I would watch again. Natalie Portman was outstanding though.

I saw this on release, it was absolutely fantastic! I can't really remember the last time I left the cinema just thinking how great the film was! So far the best film I've seen this year!

I'm a fan of Aronofsky, and his last two films, this and The Wrestler were both great!

This is a day one purchase, no questions asked!

I'm absolutely aching for it to be a steelbook release also, it's definately got that cult-like feel which would make a fantastic SB.

Get ready to import...

Seriously, the last two Blu-rays that dropped through the post (Paranormal Activity 2 and Due Date) had the banners and they ruined the cover.

Plus, it's not even a Triple Play. The DVD and DC are on one disc.

I just saw an ad today in the new Empire magazine that says the DVD release date is May 16th, so I'm betting it's the same for the blu-ray.

I'll be importing as well. Superior artwork is likely, earlier release date and similar price. 127 Hours (another title I've imported) dropped to $19.99 before release, and Walmart already has Black Swan listed for $19.98, so I expect the same. I had a couple of dollars of promotional balance in my account, so 127 Hours only cost ~£14.00 (including shipping) to import.
