Default Why DVD Still Rules

Well, I can understand some of this but needless to say respectfully disagree.

"It doesn't look so bad On a TV less than 42-inches, you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference between HD and SD unless you're sitting close or doing a side by side."

BS!!!

Yeah I have trouble watching anything less than 65". Also when you rip em' you can see pixels through out the movie, and that bothers me. For some reason, the grain in Blu-Rays doesn't bother me........Huh

I guess if you're blind, then it is true that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between HD and SD, even if you are sitting close and doing a side by side on a screen larger than 42"...

Well its certainly more established and more familiar to the general public since its been around for a while. I can't wait for Blu to reach the same status.

On Christmas eve I was making some 'promotion' for Blu-ray among family members, but most of them thought SD television (PAL) was good enough, so why bother with dvd, let alone Blu-ray, pure waste of money....

As they say, you can choose your friends... NOT your family

As I've said before: many people choose convenience and quanity over quality.
