Blu Batman Begins - Blu-ray Forum

What is the deal with Batman begins on blu ray? I was at best buy yesterday and as always they have a blu ray player on a nice TV showing off what blu ray can do. Along with Pirates of the Caribbean and many other movies, they were also showing Batman Begins in blu ray. From my understanding there is no set release date because they wanted to wait until they had the IME ready. Has anything changed?

the buzz is that warner will release batman begins with the release of the dark knight since everyone will be amped about the new film they will go hey the first one is on blu ray and grab it then.

I think that there are more "where is ________ (insert any warner titles here) on BD?!?!" Than any other thread on here! I'll bet if we compile them, it will have more pages and posts than the neilsen count thread!

not to mention the lucas/star wars thread... although there's something different about this thread: cvm mentions seeing Batman Begins in Blu being played at best buy. is this an advanced blu demo copy or SD upconverted?

Not sure, but someone else a few days ago said they saw the exact same thing at a best buy, it was in a thread around Christmas day or close to it. Not sure what it was, that is a good question though

Wah. If it's so horrible to see the same question asked more than once, why did you bother posting in the thread? Just to get a laugh?

Did it occur to you that the OP thought maybe a new development had happened with the Blu-ray and was just checking in to see if anyone heard anything new about it? He probably thought this place was safe to ask that question, and didn't expect sarcastic replies.

It's the sarcasm and crying about repeat threads around here that makes me sad. Can we not just be kind to one another? Maybe threads wouldn't repeat if the search function actually worked.

I think it's probably because the original poster (no offense intended to him) could've simply used the search button and found out instead of creating a new topic. I also don't think the person that posted the joke about there being a new thread about Batman Begins meant any harm to the original poster. And there actually is quite a few of these threads that appear pretty much weekly.

That's all fine and good, but this isn't the only instance of someone getting picked on because they posted a repeat question. There is no point in calling people out on it. Just let them do it. If a moderator feels that it was just asked yesterday, they can delete it easily. No need to have an entire page of people saying "Lolz, +1, har har you really got him good". Just answer his question if you know it, and if you don't you don't.

That question has popped up every now and again going back to like June of this year.

At first Warner should perform a re-encode of Batman Begins which looks awful soft in HD DVD. The image resembles the old HD version of Matrix.

i've seen it too and it is definately NOT an upconverted sd, the PQ was incredible looking, best i have seen.
