i only saw about 5-10 minutes of scenes and he wasn't bad, he just... doesn't look the part of a main character in a zombie apocalypse, but that may just be and once i finally see a full episode my opinion could change. he just... seems to look a little young or something

I loved this series and finished all episodes in one day. Awesome!
That main character is not young at all, at least I felt he was older than most zombie movie characters.

For those interested in viewing the season before street date... AMC is airing a Walking Dead marathon starting this Friday, March 4th at 8pm airing all six episodes from the first season. Think of it as a free rental.

On their website it says "sold in stores" for... $27.96.

I'll be getting mine from Amazon though, I saw that price and jumped.

Is there any news about a future edition with commentaries? Anyone holding out for a potential double-dip? Or are people pretty content with the special features? Would love to pick this up, happy with this price, but wondering if they'll release a special edition closer to the Season 2 premiere. Don't know how AMC usually handles these things. Thanks!

It's pretty rare for a season of a show to get rereleased. It think if you want it its best to get it Tuesday while its on sale. I think the only way you will see more special features for season 1 is when and if a complete series set comes out.
