Default sammy 120hz picture roll

so, i was at best buy yesterday checking out the TV's and i zero'd in on the new 46" sammy 120hz for $2799. pirates was playing on it and it looked so good, BUT the cut from scene to scene really bothered me. to me it appears as if the screen rolls and people walking appear to just slide into place.

anyone w/ a 120hz sammy notice this or do you just get used to it? the picture clarity is amazing...double the clarity of my 56" 1080 tv and i thought my tv was sharp looking.

i know what you are talking about. its hard to describe, but i agree with you 100%, when people move something just doesn't look right. it seems, too smooth i guess. for example, when you move your head (your own personal camera) in real life, things blur, but on these 120hz tvs, when the camera gets moved, things don't.

the sony does the exact same thing.

I'll have to check that out. What's interesting is that games like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune try to mimic what happens in real life when you turn your head fast or spin around, as you turn your character in the game quickly the far away background has motion blur, on purpose, because that is what your eye would see in real life, its very realistic and really puts you in the game. Another nice thing they do is work with the iris, if you come out of a dark room into bright sunlight, everything is washed out until your eyes adjust, again, very realistic.
