Default Who's going to CES?

Just curious how many of us are planning on attending CES coming up?

I decided to take some time off and go, as well as Macworld in SanFran the following week and then down to NAMM in Anaheim.

I'll be shooting video of everything worthwhile since I got press credentials, so that it can be shared with you all upon my return. - B

Isn't that location held at Las Vegas in Nevada? If so, then I'm definitely will drive all the way to Vegas Baby! 6 hours for me is not bad, since I live in SoCal. Its very cold over there about 20 degrees because I went there last Saturday with my brother and cousins. Gotta loves the water parade, hehehe!

I will be at CES.

'Casual visitors' should note that it is not a public show and you need industry credentials to get in the door.

NAMM is a popular trade show for musicians and music products.

I'd love to but it's in Vegas. I'd be at the show on no sleep, up for 30 hours, out of my element still hearing the house music in my head from Drais at 9 am.

Penton Man was supposed to send me first class round trip tickets but I have yet to receive them. So I guess I wont be going but as long as he delivers me Warner gift wrapped in blu I will let him slide.

That reminds me of when I went to CES a few years ago. Well, not so much reminds me... as that would imply I remember any of it. I think I had a good time, though.

NAMM is the music merchandisers industry convention. http://www.namm.org
Every pro gear manufacturer and famous musician on the planet attends the winter conference every Jan. It's not open to the public per say, and passes must be obtained by a registered manufacturer, dealer, or licensed industry professional. If you have the opportunity to get in the convention ctr. I highly recommend it. Words cannot explain the magnitude of what NAMM is if you don't know already.

Excuse me if I'm wrong..... (I've only attended CES 5 times 1996-2000, and this year marks my return after a 7 year absence.) but, I believe that if you are not properly registered ahead of time, you can still buy a pass for like $50 at the gate, but you just have to wait in line forever. Does it still work this way? Either way I'm covered, but it would be nice for others here to know in case they want to attend.
