The only reason Prison break failed and the writers looked bad was because the show was intended to go past two seasons. Fox loved the ratings and drained it dry.

8 minutes into the pilot and I'm already seeing several things I like.

1. The premise, while a bit like TNT's single season "Wanted", which I loved and it was criminally (heh heh) cancelled after a single season, is cool. I like the criminals + cops working together.

2. One of the McPoyles is in here. That's always cool.

3. "My nickname is Virgin. Because I don't F*ck Around". Classic.

4. "Chow B*tches"

5. "DEFECT!"

6. "Con Artist....1999-Present" ha ha.

Since this is on A&E hopefully it'll get more than a few episodes to get it's bearings.

I'm glad Fox passed on this, considering their track record.

I will say though, they need to cut down on the team. There's WAY too many people to be dragging around the city on each case.

I hope they're done with the dude who tried to pawn the knife. I didn't like him from the jump, and won't be sad to see him go.

I like "Lowry" but can see his schtick getting old for some people really quick.

I think if they kept it to Lowry, the con artist and the "entrepreneur", that might be okay, because they'd have 5 on their team.

Even that might be a bit much, but hopefully they can make it work.

WHOA! That was a nice twist at the end.

Also good looks for the show to feature the late great GURU playing as the show ended. That was nice to hear.

Interesting enough so far.

Don't like the female con though. She doesn't have the acting chops to pull it off. She was no different on The Unit.

Not keen on the guy playing Charlie either. Wrong aesthetic, and those anal-retentive hair-cuts annoy the living shit out of me.

Hope they get better at casting the escapees too. He was a whiny douche on Sopranos and I can never picture him as anything else.

Can't wait for T-Bag!

I really don't even have any opinion of the first episode. It was very mediocre run of the mill for me. I was really bummed that Serinda wasn't in the first episode. She has pretty much been the focal point of all the marketing. So now it's her and that Philly broad switching off week to week? Also not quite sure what the con's did to actually assist in the capture, besides that last gas station bit. Glad they dumped Gunderson though. There is nothing an outdoorsman like myself hates more than a ****ing low rent poaching piece of shit.

Serinda Swan is gorgeous but I felt her introduction in the second episode was handled pretty piss poor. I still can't get into this show even though I like the entire team. I still really don't see what any of the convicts bring to the team that Marshall's don't though.

Yeah I also didn't like her introduction either. Yeah that part I'm still not getting as the only convict that has really done anything so far has been Lloyd. The others just talk or do pretty normal things that anyone can do. Really hope they get a chance to show us why they were chosen for the team otherwise it seems getting convicts to help them was only for getting viewers to watch the show and changing the formula a little compared to other crime shows.

I agree. Definitely not getting the point across as to why these convicts are absolutely necessary for the job over ordinary civilians/professionals.

I like Loyd & Shay. They fit together.

Erica is better than the previous chick - they (the show-runners/writers) could have handled her introduction and back-story with a little more effort.

The friction between Charlie & Ray is cliche and annoying, plus Charlie's health issue reveals have been stupid and way too early in the series.

... and the title sequence is just gay. Had me laughing my arse off.

The things this shows needs aren't very possible in the current "escapee of the week" format. They need to dial it back a bit and concentrate on the team members stories, why the were chosen and their contributions - show them studying past escapee cases - case reviews etc. More time on the research and the reason for it - instead of sitting around brain-storming and thinking of something at the last second. It's crap.

Then the show needs to bust out T-Bag.

Everybody on the team can be replaced with an FBI profiler really lol. There is no need for this team to exist besides for comedic effect. I am already tired of their choice in convicts too. It's people who we've only ever seen play criminals, there are no risks in casting someone we haven't. The first week, was Jackie Aprile Jr from the Sopranos, second week was Cameron Hayes from Sons of Anarchy, now T-Bag as T-Bag, lol. There is nothing new with anybody on this show. It's the same safe and tired format we can find on CBS any day of the week.

Have to agree as much as I enjoy this show it seems like Criminal Minds but with escapee's instead of people who haven't been caught yet. This is cable they should up the stakes instead of given us a run of the mill crime show that could play on network TV.

Yeah I thought the whole point of the convicts was that they were low offenders like Lloyd. Then we learn one's a deadly bounty hunter with 5 murders on her head and they allow her on the team just like that.

IMO the 2 main characters plots were also kinda wasted as a heart condition isn't anything epic and him stealing money and having gone to jail isn't much either as a character arc IMO. Really hope they can prove me wrong though.

I don't really feel like this show has given me any kind of hope that they will surprise me by my 3 and out rule. There just isn't anything to keep my coming back to this show. I like all the actors but I liked them in their previous roles much more. I don't ever feel like I absolutely can't miss this show, and don't look forward to it either, so I will give it Sunday on the 1% chance they surprise me but considering the villain is reprising his role from one of my least favorite tv shows of all-time I don't see coming back for week 4.
