Default I broke one Planet Earth disc. Replacement Disc?

Well, my two and a half year old snapped my Disc #1 in half tonight while I was watching my beloved Nittany Lions beat Texas A&M. Is there anyway to order a single replacement disc instead of buying the entire series? Any advice is appreciated!

Hmm.....you may want to try www.shopping.discovery.com. This is the official store and you may be able to get it there. Not sure though.

FYI

Discovery.com version is narrated by Sigorney Weiver.

The BBC is narrated by David Attenborough.

What a stupid child. Why do they feel the need to grab objects and break/smash them? You should break one of his toys to explain the concept of what it is like to have his belongings broken.

Babies are so overated.

If you have the BBC version try giving WHV Customer Support a call at 1-800-553-6937 to see about getting a replacement disc. Worst case it may cost you a few bucks for a new disc.

first of all, and i dont care if this gets me banned, zyclone and dj, you guys are a--holes talking that way about his child, WTF is wrong with you 2???

The only thing I can tell you is go the BBC web site and look to see if there is a customer support contact and get ahold of them about another disc for your collection.

I got kids,.. 3 kids.

They do their best to get to my CD's, DVD's, Blu Rays and such.

What you need is some shelf space and the resolve to put the stuff away if you're not watching it. I don't let me kids play with the discs. A couple of times my 2 year old got hold of a jacket type holder for software discs and managed to scratch maybe 20 discs in about no time flat.

Just need to get organized and make some rules too.

Well,

Forgive me if I was "out of sorts" to offer tips. Discs are round and shiny and kids just love to "get um."

I would tend to think in this case the discs were left lying around, so that's why I suggested making more of an effort to keep things put up. Everyone is different in how much care they take with stuff like this. Most people I know (including my wife actually) will take a disc out of a player and just set it on top of the rack or whatever and it tweaks me bad so I put it all away and try to keep others from digging in it.

I hope they send him a replacement disc. If it's the disc with the bat poop in it (I've only seen one episode of Planet Earth but it featured a mountain of bat poop. Strangely,.. I returned it to Netflix and took the rest of the discs out of my que, go figure.) then maybe it's not as bad as it would initially seem.

-Brian

I have some advice, but unfortunately if you followed it you would be receiving a visit from Child Services.

kidding

There's a "contact us" button on this page. They would probably be able to help. Or maybe you could contact someone at Warner, I believe they distribute it.

Thanks to everyone who gave good info...as for the rest of you, keep your comments to yourselves. I think I might have a lead to get a new copy of just that disc. If that falls through, I will try some of the numbers posted. Thanks again to all who provided answers to my question!

Back on topic:

I first suggest you contact Warner (if it was the BBC version) or the Discovery Channel store (if it was the one with Sigourney Weaver).

Some of the studios have a disc replacement program.
