That is awesome! I really hope Doug will be included in that!

...

Some of that stuff is supposed to start playing again on one of the Nick channels...don't remember which one or when though.

And on that note Rocko's Modern Life Season 1 is coming out on DVD (not the best of like the on demand thing with Amazon) Pretty excited

What would make it better than just having 2 hours of 90's tv shows(each night?). They should just make it a weekend thing.

Start it about 6 am on Saturday morning and end it at 10pm on Sunday night. Just an idea.

Invader Zim (can't believe no one's mentioned this yet)
Figure It Out ( Erin)
Rugrats
Legends of the Hidden Temple (damn those creepy temple guards! )
Kenan and Kel (I do, I do, I do, I do-ooh! )

Also watched some All That and Amanda Show (for Amanda, of course ).

No mention of Belle and Sebastian, The Mysterious Cities of Gold, and Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea?

Come on man!

I can't be the only one who remembers these.

Sure, the weren't Nickelodeon originals, and the time slots on them were always changing (usually on in the afternoon) but it was the first time most of us were exposed to anime.

How can you all forget these classic openings?

Belle and Sebastian - English opening

The Mysterious Cities of Gold

Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea Opening Theme (music only)

Glad I found this, the best of all, Bic and Bac dancing Faskbick on Spartacus and the Sun Beneath the Sea! Classic.

Faskbick from Spartacus and the Sun Beneath the Sea

That's cause we're talking classic American Nickelodeon. I never once saw anime on nickelodeon while growing up and so for me anime has absolutely no place in my memory of Nick.

No, you're not talking about classic American Nickelodeon, you're talking about 90's Nickelodeon.

The three shows I mentioned aired in the mid-80's. Forgive me for being a child of the 80's. You know Nickelodeon existed before the 90's right?

Those show never would of aired on American television i it wasn't for Nickelodeon. They are the definition of classic Nickelodeon. Much like Nickelodeon brought Canadian shows to the States for the first time, such as the already mentioned "You Can't Do That on Television" (classic) Nick brought American television it's first tastes of anime as well.

And speaking of You Can't Do That on Television, and one remember "Out of Control"? It had Dave Coulier (Joey of Full House fame) always saying "Cut-It-Out!"

Later on Disney did a continuation. High School I think it was...or junior high...whatever was after the Nick show.
