There will have to be. With more companies, especially Sony, getting out of rear projection...I have a hard time believing Sony is going to go into 2008 with 52" LCDs as the largest TV available (for the record, the 33K 70" LCD doesn't count as that's not accessible to 99.8% of the population).

The Sharp 67" Aquos is coming down in price nicely. I'd like to see that work into my 2008 budget.

i wonder if we will see stories where peoples pets got crushed under there giant plasma, or a man dies due to dodgy install and a massive 108ins plasma fell on him.

can but hope.

OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diodes. This replaces or supplements the fluorescent backlighting for the LCD panel. The advantages are truer and brighter colors with improved contrast.

Oh man that is gonna happen. Yesterday I was asked by a guy if he could hang his 40" LCD TV off a plaster wall. I mean does it need to be asked?
