So I accepted the new TOS and logged into the store today, and it's not letting me make any purchases. I put two games in my shopping cart, went to add the funds to my wallet, and it keeps saying that the payment info is not valid. It's the EXACT same info I had when I bought stuff last month. I checked the CC info, and sure enough it's the exact same.
Anyone else having problems buying things since the new TOS came into effect? I don't know that it's to blame, but I bought things last month before this, and now that it's been changed somehow, I can't make purchases because it doesn't accept my valid credit card info. |

Wow, have I had a weird morning.
So I woke up and my money was in my bank account (direct deposit). So I made some payments to various places such as Comcast, and a few paypal subscriptions I have. Then I went to renew my Skype subscription and it failed. Said there was not enough money in the account, even though I was looking right at my bank account online and there was MORE than enough. So I tried it again. And again. And again. All fails. Then I tried via Paypal, and it said there wasn't a source backing it up that had funds. So then I tried the PSN to get some games, and that failed. That was when I got a voicemail from the fraud dept. at US Bank and they wanted to verify some charges. So I figured they wanted to verify that 5 straight rejected charges were me. I called the local branch and confirmed it was me, but nobody could figure out why it was bouncing. There were no restraints or holds or anything to say why it would do that. So I called the fraud dept. and the guy who answered is the guy that called earlier. HE had put a hold on my account when he saw SKYPE being checked the 1st time. Let that sink in. He sat there and saw that it was trying to verify Skype, and with no rejections at that point, he denied it and put a hold on my account, til he could verify that I was legitimately trying to send a payment. Said there's a lot of fraud via Skype. Who knew? I think it's a bit disconcerting that with no rejects he just decides to cancel it and block my account to make sure no one is messing with it. Anyway, everything's all good now. Just bought Swarm and the Mini Golf Bundle. |
