Question Cheapest Blu-ray you've ever bought?

With all the bargain hunters around here, I thought it would be really interesting to see what great deals some of you have been able to get on Blu-ray titles. Whether it be from store sales, discounts, coupons or all of the above, what's the cheapest Blu-ray you've ever bought?

For me, that honor goes to the Tangled 3D combo pack. I found it new and sealed on eBay on release day for $16.99 including shipping, and used a free $15 eBay credit I got through Groupon (I bought it with "Groupon Bucks" earned from referring a friend previously). Total price paid out of pocket was $1.99! I'm pretty sure I'll probably never get a deal like that again, but the stars aligned for that purchase.

How about you?

I'd have ot say the cheapest for me was off of ebay for around $7 including shipping. I don't I ever got one for under $5 though. keeps me confident that Blu's aren't as expensive as what everyone always thinks. I know better.

I had a $10 Best Buy Rewards certificate:

The Day After Tomorrow on sale @ $7.99
Ice Age on sale @ $9.99
Minus $10 Reward Certificate

Net OTD cost for 2 blus was $7.98 = $3.99 per blu

The studios love a consumer like me, if I want a Blu-Ray I simply buy it unless the price is just egregiously ridiculous (which has only happened once or twice). Outside of using store credit or gift cards, I suppose the best deal I've gotten was buying several for $7.99 late last year, including Close Encounters of the Third Kind. But all the deals I've gotten have been through luck/chance and not any explicit action on my part.

oh you're talking about PAYING for one .. well then I got it beat. I used that $15 groupon to ebay a while ago and got "The Fighter" for $15 shipped... paid $0 for that groupon due to a referral bonus in my account.

I never get how people think Reward Zone Certificates = free?

You purchased $500 worth of merchandise to get that $10 Certificate.... so technically those blus cost you $253.99 a piece.

I did, but I was smart about how I spent that $500. Closeouts, price matching, coupons, etc etc. I don't buy at full retail. Example: the media cabinet that I bought there was a floor model on closeout, regularly over $500 & everywhere else was over $300. I bought it for $169 OTD. That's how I shop at Best Buy. It's all about practicing Stategery.

good for you , that's the way I am too. the Managers at my local best buy hate me (literally) because I buy nothing but lossleaders or price match loss leaders from other stores. I honestly don't think they've made a penny off of me before.

Best deal for me was picking up a used copy of the Goodfellas digibook at a local pawn shop for $7 and it was in mint condition.

Yeah, I think that the point is that I would have spent that money somewhere, whether it was Best Buy or anywhere else. I just look for the best deal & am pretty methodical in my purchasing habits.

I got Death Note 1+2 from Taiwan for $15. Not bad for importing two titles.

I paid $10 for Gladiator Sapphire Series (original DNR'd with a side of EE copy) off of Amazon on Black Friday in '09. Then I sent in for the $10 refund for current owners of the DVD. Then I got the new remastered replacement disc through Paramount....

...so $0.00 after all was said and done.

A big video store chain around here had a 3 for 10$ promo on selected used BD and I got a few. I got several blind buys, at 3.33$, what do you have to lose?

As for new releases, I think the Ernest double feature set outta be setting a new low price per title record at the curent price!

Cheapest new: Wallace and Gromit Complete Collection - $7.99
Used: Shoot em up $5 (think it was mis-marked but hey honored it. Other copies were marked $7.99 and $9.99 depending on condition of case. My case and disc were pristine though)
