Lindsay Lohan may play Sharon Tate

"Lindsay Lohan is rumoured to be in talks to play Hollywood star Sharon Tate.
The actress could be putting her personal troubles aside to star as the Valley Of The Dolls starlet in Tyler Shields' upcoming film Eyes Of A Dreamer, about murderer Charles Manson, who famously killed the pregnant Sharon in August 1969.

The photographer-director has approached Lindsay about the role, telling Entertainment Weekly: "We've worked together many, many times - she asked me about [Eyes], and I said, 'Oh you should be Sharon Tate', and she was like, 'That would be amazing'."

While Lindsay's spokespeople have yet to reply to the reports, Tyler revealed he is eyeing the 24-year-old for the part, because of their similar backgrounds.

"Sharon Tate was a movie star. So I want [an actress who] you already have a backstory with. People have a backstory with someone like Lindsay. And I think it's very relatable," he said.

Tyler plans to start shooting in July, and hopes Lindsay's court cases will not prove an obstacle.

"We have to shoot the movie this year, so I don't know. We'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it. Hopefully that's not the case," he replied, when asked if he would offer the part to another actress." [SOURCE: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukp...1301998180301A]

Lohan's recent downfall is sad to watch, because she actually IS talented.


Perhaps this role could be a step towards to reparing her career and professional reputation.

...and even if she does, perhaps due to her past 'tendencies', she may not get much work due to the studios' insurance companies not being able to insure her. She has proved numerous times that she is basically a walking liability.

True, but in Lindsay's case, her troubles are still ongoing (a preliminary hearing is scxheduled for April 22) and there's nothing to indicate that her behaviour has changed (when it comes to partying or boozing), all of which makes her a handful to work with.

Appears she has yet to hit the wall, plus the girl appears to still be in denial about her problems.

Downey finally hit his bottom... did some prison... and got help... and seems to be doing well.

Lohan has to hit that wall.

Sheen is careening wildly towards the wall it seems... but he might not survive that fall to the bottom in order to climb back up.

So this is a biopic on Manson? He is a crazy sob. I'm not sure if I'd want Lohan portraying Sharon Tate though. Very interesting casting option.

The title is appropriate: Eyes of a Dreamer is a song Manson wrote while in prison.
