They're probably trying to get people to stop importing since everyone else is getting it this month.

Haven't seen a thread on this yet..
Three thrillers from Warner's catalog will be getting the high-definition treatment this August. In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers has indicated that 'Copycat,' 'Sleepers,' and 'The Name of the Rose' are planned for Blu-ray on August 2. 'Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Extended Edition)' on Blu-ray Get all three films at HUGE savings! Specs have yet to be finalized, but 'Copycat' will include a commentary with director Jon Amiel and a trailer; 'Sleepers' will only have a trailer; and 'The Name of the Rose' will include a commentary by director Jean-Jacques Annaud, The Abbey Crimes, Photo Video Journey, and a trailer. Suggested list price for each Blu-ray is $19.99. You can find the latest specs for 'Copycat,' 'Sleepers,' and 'The Name of the Rose' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're indexed under August 2. |

Copycat was on HDNET movies about a month ago. The quality was a bit sharper than the DVD but nothing significant (just edge enhancement etc.). I hope they give it a nice once over and freshen it up as it deserves.
![]() I haven't seen The Name of the Rose in years. I know the DVD is downright crappy looking. Will be interesting to see what they can do with the quality on blu. |

I think the Robert Redford movie you are thinking of was "Sneakers", and I agree that it deserves a release on Blu-ray.
