Seagal
Stallone
Schwarzenegger
Van Damme
Willis

except for one dude that has been around since the 70's.

Chuck Norris - after all he fought Bruce Lee in 2 films and eventually had 2 successful franchises of his own in the mid 80's only to fall into movie hell after a string of turds, making a comeback on the small screen as Walker: Texas Ranger. So of his best efforts on film, which ones would you want to see released on blu with a little respect:

1978 - Good Guys Wear Black
1979 - A Force of One
1980 - The Octagon
1981 - An Eye for an Eye
1982 - Silent Rage
1982 - Forced Vengeance
1983 - Lone Wolf McQuade
1984 - Missing in Action
1985 - Missing in Action 2: The Beginning
1985 - Code of Silence
1985 - Invasion USA
1986 - The Delta Force
1986 - Firewalker
1988 - Braddock: Missing in Action III
1988 - Hero and the Terror
1989 - Delta Force 2: Opperation Stranglehold
1991 - The Hitman

I would like to own - The Missing in Action trilogy / Delta Force 1+2 / Lone Wolf McQuade / Code of Silence / Invasion USA / The Octagon and The Hitman.
You didn't mention "Breaker Breaker" which was his first fillm as the lead.

And Norris only fought Bruce Lee in one movie ,"The Way of the Dragon" (aka The Return of the Dragon), unless you count the same scenes recycled in the beginning of "Game of Death".

Bob Wall, on the other hand, DID fight Lee in two movies, "The Way of the Dragon", and "Enter the Dragon".

I would sure love to get a blu ray release of SILENT RAGE

one of my favorite movies growing up-- must have seen it 15 times on HBO throughout the years!

I also liked EYE FOR AN EYE a lot but a big plus in that one was having Christopher Lee as the villain...

Silent Rage, Brian Libby (a very underrated actor IMO, I beleive he has appeared in all of Frank Darabont's films) was so badass in that film!

With all due respect to Chuck Norris, and all the hilarious qoutes that have poked fun at him over the past several years, I don't believe there's a single film he's ever made that I've even remotely considered "quality" entertainment. I love cheesy movies, and I love movies that make me laugh, but Norris' films are so universally awful (in every which way), that the fact that he was ever even able to get into films, never ceases to amaze me...

Good grief! I cannot believe some of the ways Norris has allowed himself to be depicted in movie-poster art. It's so bad it's embarrassing. After seeing the poster art for many of his recent films (the worst being "Top Dog"), I began to question whether or not he has any respect for himself as an actor or as a human. I wouldn't let myself be depicted in the manner Chuck Norris has for all the money in the world...

In many ways, I agree with your statement here. Most of Lee's films were quite bad themselves, and actually, had he not passed away right before the release of "Enter the Dragon," I don't think he would've ever achieved the legendary status he has now. "Game of Death" was destined to bomb with or without Lee, and I've no doubt he would've eventually regressed to making poor quality films had he lived on, eventually fading into the same obscurity that most other martial arts film stars do. And honestly, "Enter the Dragon" isn't really all that impressive of a film, it's just that in comparison to most other films of the kung-fu genre, it's golden (and mostly because of the production design), hence it has a certain aura around it because it was decent, because it was backed by and American Studio, and because of the mystery surrounding Lee's passing. All of those elements combined to make "Enter the Dragon" a little more noteworthy than it should probably be in my opinion. And I don't know about anyone else, but Lee wasn't even my favorite character of the film, that honor goes to Jim (Williams ) Kelly in my book..."Man, you come right out of a comic book!"

I never understood why people don't like SIdekick so much, it's a fun movie. They try to make it sound like it was a bad thing for Norris to do. Any movie with Chuck Norris and Mako can't be bad.

I agree with you on Bruce Lee. I enjoy his movies but they are cheesie and his early death did help bring him up at levels he may never really had if he had remain with us.

Yeah, its almost like people get this image stuck in their heads, of who people should be, and what they should do, based on what they've already done. For example, Schwarzenegger had a difficult time breaking into other work after playing "tough guy" characters for so long. Similarly, Norris did "Sidekicks" as an (apparent) attempt to mix action and fantasy with a moral-friendly family film...and lots of folks weren't prepared for that.

Another film that Chuck did several years ago was called "Bells of Innocence", and it's one of those stories that has a very dark edge, but an important message at the same time.

I guess that's his appeal. Also Walker Texas Ranger was such a success on TV because it was so outrageous and over the top. I remember one episode he wrestles a bear! And has to defeat this bear/man/dude in a cave, is just one example of the impossible plotlines of the show.

I saw this DVD in Wal-Mart one day and almost cried laughing. I remember wanting to start a thread about it but got too embarrassed that I had seen it. Now I can always make myself laugh by Goggling Forrest Warrior. LOL

At this point, I think most everyone associates Chuck Norris' name with a popular Internet meme (much like being Rickroll'd) than anything noteworthy in his television or movie career; the only difference between him and Rick Astley is that Chuck takes these satirical factoids in stride.

His credentials as a martial artist aside, I would put him on the same plateau as a Steven Seagal or Jean-Claude Van Damme where acting is concerned, i.e. at times entertaining, but not to be taken seriously. I think there are better martial arts performers than the aforementioned three who also happen to be decent actors that deserve spots in my Blu-ray library.
