Default Rotten Tomatoes gone Blu?

So I've been browsing RottenTomatoes.com today to see what various movies scored back when they first hit theaters, and I've been noticing that RT seems to be using a Blu-Ray case as the cover art for some films. Since they are theatrical releases, why would they do this? It's seems rather odd to me.

Some that I've noticed so far:

Independence Day
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

It's automated. If you click on the DVD tab, the site currently defaults to the first format listed. Blu-ray is alphabetically first. Change the format there, and the graphic changes. So, for any titles that have Blu-Ray available via Price Grabber... you'll see the BD case as the graphic by default. You also get a "Buy Blu-Ray" as the featured version to buy on the Reviews tab.

Until such time as they either remove the HD-DVD guide, or add an equivalent Blu-Ray guide, I think it's impossible to claim anything more than neutrality out of Rotten Tomatoes.

Once they remove their HD DVD guide and replace it with HD guide or Blu-ray guide, then and only then would I believe that they have gone Blu (or at least warmed up to it).

Default Rotten Tomatoes still HD DVD exclusive? (Update: Apparently not!)

Funny rotten tomatoes still has that hddvd add and not a word about bluray in its news. You think with all the goings on they would say something.

I think enough news outlets are reporting Blu-ray as the potential winner. My sister, who knows nothing about HDM, even said that she thinks the win is going to Blu-ray because of the Warner news. It's everywhere...spreading like a wildfire. Not even the tears of the HD DVD fans will put out this blaze.

RT is hands down, one of the worst movie critic websites you will ever come across. You cannot take anything they review seriously. It's like they have absolutly no taste you wonder why they couldn't call themselfs fresh instead of rotten.

RT is owned by IGN. So I thought I'd see if I could find out who owns IGN - thinking it must be one of the HD DVD companies. But strangely.....

Quote:
On September 8, 2005, News Corporation announced that it had bought 92.3% of total stock of the company for US$650 million, giving it a controlling stake in IGN.[2] It is now a division of Fox Interactive Media (FIM), which includes MySpace, foxnews.com, and several other properties owned by News Corp.
Time for Fox to have a word in RT's ear?

Not that RT has made the slightest bit of difference in which way the format war went anyway, but it's going to be fun watching their HD DVD guide transform into a Blu-ray guide!

I can't even imagine how you can believe this.

Do you know how hard it is to bias a compilation web site?
