Default New tv thru a protection plan exchange

My 55" lcd samsung i bought a couple years ago broke down...i had the 4 year protection plan...and after 3 geek squad visits...and countless times on the phone i am getting my confirmation number in the next 48 hours for a new tv...they said they will deliver it since i had this one delivered and will pick up my old tv and take it...

They dont have my tv anymore so i will get a new comperable one with the remainder warranty from my original tv on it...So that being said...will this tv be the same color...same brand samsung? still 55" should be right?
Since its new i wonder if it will have more hdmi spots and be 120hz? Or is it a refurb?

Anyone ever get a exchange from a protection plan? How did it go and how was the tv you got?

I believe it's a brand new tv because same thing happened to my friend earlier this year and they replaced it with the same brand/size tv. He went from a 55" Samsung 240hz lcd to a 55" Samsung 240hz 3D LED.

I am glad, well not really, but at least I am not the only one with Samsung LCD problems. I am having the Geek Squad back for a second time on friday to replace the main board and the power board. Hopefully, maybe two more visits will resut in be getting a new TV too, but lets hope the repair works. No more Samsung for me.

Yep, the protection plans on new technology is the way to go. Works well with the upgrade itch. When our Sharp 42" was replaced under warrenty we upgraded for 500$ more for the 52" and bought the extened warrenty again. So far so good

I had a 42" Maxent Plasma that had a week left on it's extended protection plan. Had BB come and look at it. Said the board was going bad and needed to replace it. 3 days later they called and stated they couldn't get the part. Got a 42" Panasonic replacement. And another 4 year protection plan for $128.00
