Default Farscape on Blu-ray

I hope this gets released sometime in the future. One of the best sci-fi shows made, hard to get on DVD, and would look awesome on BD.

If I'm not mistaken, ADV still holds the home video distribution rights to Farscape. If so, I wouldn't hold my breath for a Blu release any time soon. ADV as a company has taken some big hits in the last few months (Sojitz, a major Japanese investor for ADV, withdrew their investment and subsequently almost 2 years-worth of anime titles a few months ago) and it's left many people predicting that ADV will go under sooner or later. They have made a few anime announcements in the last few weeks and I certainly hope they pull through, but I wouldn't be expecting any ADV Blu-rays any time soon.

Default Farscape

Well if ADV is in bad shape I hope they sell their rights to Farscape to someone who could afford to invest in Blu-ray. Well I wish anyway.

I think Sony has the rights too - I think ADV stopped selling Farscape DVDs.

Either way the complete series and the peacekeeper wars on Blu Ray would be great.

Farscape should still be on the air - much better than Eureka, ECW, Stargate Atlantis and all those crappy made for tv movies.

Farscape was awesome but I do like Eureka and Atlantis, couldn't stand SG-1 though and I'm not all together thrilled with BSG either.

Farscape was shot on 35mm film at 25fps, and season 4 was shot on HD video cameras

It's almost certainly a placeholder, but with the 10th Anniversary here I put in a question with Henson anyway, but it may take a few weeks to get a response

Thanks Jeff, yeah it came from UK. I still have S1 from UK in DVD. It was a great packaging when you got them all

Actually it's an American show, shot in Australia and financed by Sci-Fi (primary financeer) in the US, I think Channel 4 in UK, and an Australian company.

I've got a pretty direct line to the top there, so whatever answer I get should be a good one

I hope it does come to bluray, though i'm very doubtful, all the FX were done in SD and i have a weird feeling if they do release it they wont bother remastering the fx, so it'll look like firefly, extremely blurry
