I emailed Blue-Underground recently about several horror titles and I received an email back. They said this about 'ZOMBIE':

Thank you for your email. First, we are working on a brand-new "Ultimate Edition" Blu-ray of ZOMBIE for release around Halloween. The new HD transfer is absolutely stunning, and the disc will be loaded with brand new interviews with almost every surviving cast and crew member.

This is great news. Can't wait to get this.

Yea this is one of THE quintessential zombie films EVER. And the score is amazing.

They also told me, because I asked about the black mamba snake movie 'Venom' (1982) starring Klaus Kinski and Oliver Reed being released on Blu-ray, they said it's not one that's going to be released right now but will be a possible future release. That movie is good but the BU DVD cover art is terrible.

Owned the old anchor bay clam-shell VHS and never bought a DVD of it, I can justify this purchase! Love the film!

I have the old non-anamorphic Anchor Bay DVD. Looking forward to getting this on Blu-ray.

I doubt the cover art is official. That's the cover of the Anchor Bay DVD.

he means the one the OP used. the one you posted is the one Shriek Show used on their dvd. only obviously it doesnt say Zombi 2.

I really don't care who released what DVD etc. Thats the art that I hope gets put onto the Blu ray release.

BU's dvd had a similar but imo inferior design and i have a feeling thats what the bd will get.

the original poster that anchor bay used. its so iconic.
im not even a fan of the movie, but 'WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU' is one of the greatest poster taglines in movie history.
