I know that back in the 60's and 70's, they did not shoot in HD (obviously since it was not around), but wouldn't it be great to have a box set of classic Ali fights? Even if the PQ isn't THAT awesome, it would have to be better than the youtube videos we watch.
Some fights: Rumble In The Jungle Fight of the Century Ali Frazier II Thrilla in Manila Sonny Liston (I & II) Ali's Gold Medal Games etc. |

Yes, I would really enjoy seeing classic fights in the best quality available. My first choice, simply because there is so much content available, is to see the classic fights on youtube. Another option I have is when ESPN runs the classic fights. I can record them on my HD DVR and I enjoy them that way. It would be great if some company would possibly put the great fights, even if just to take advantage of the Blu-ray disc and add as many fights as possible while offering the best picture available for the fights that were shot in standard definition.
Boxing is a sport I really enjoy, but in all honesty, the sport doesn't seem the same as it use to be. Unfortunately I don't care or even know who is the current heavyweight champion. At least I can re watch all the great matches on youtube. |
