Anyone ever buy a blu with the wrong movie on the disc?

i just bought a new copy of stir of echoes from the store still wrapped in plastic with all the security stickers on it. opened it up popped it in and to my surprise it was the devils rejects. anyone else ever had this happen to them?

I bought The Thin Red Line back several weeks ago from a guy on eBay and he shipped the case without the disc in it. I sent him a message and he had left the disc in his player. He shipped the disc to me a few days later and was very apologetic.

this had the echoes disc in it with all the artwork on it just not the right movie on the disc

I've never had that happen, closest to that was receiving ordering The Man From Nowhere and receiving the Ip Man Blu-ray with The Man From Nowhere slipcover.

When the menu for Fight Club first came onscreen, I thought Never Been Kissed was on the disc.

I've been lucky so far. No wrong movies on Blu-ray or DVD ever. I have experienced this once or twice with some CD's and LP's over the years. I suppose it happens from time to time.

It mainly happens from stores that re-shrinkwrap a returned purchase. I returned a couple at HMV only because the listed audio info on the back of the shell was wrong so because technically there was nothing really wrong with the disc and most wouldn't have a problem with it, it was re-wrapped and placed back on the shelf. I'm sure that when they do that... things get a bit mixed up sometimes.

Yep! You'd be surprised how many returns are accepted with the wrong disc(s) inside.

I had this happen to me with CD's years ago. I bought "Woodstock '94" two disc set. Took it home, popped in the CD's and IT WAS NOT WOODSTOCK '94. Even the disc artwork matched those of the real Woodstock '94 discs, but whatever was on the disc was total crap. Can't remember what it was though...

I bought Rambo III from AxelMusic a few months back... cover of Rambo III, Rambo III printed on the blu-ray disc... movie on the disc when it starts playing... Rambo II.

Pretty rare I think.

So if you return a disc that is in Stir of Echoes packaging, and the disc art says Stir of Echoes but the movie is The Devils Rejects, theres nothing wrong with the disc so it can be re-shrinkwrapped?

That actually happened to quite a few people, I remember when that issue came up. Some people actually received Disc 1 contents on Disc 5 also...

Weird, I had exactly the same thing happen from a guy I bought on Ebay. Same guy?????????

Closest thing that happened to me was when I bought SWEENEY TODD and found the standard DVD inside instead of the BD.

I bought the Rambo 1-3 collection about a year and a half ago and the Blu-ray disc Rambo II was clearly labeled as Rambo II but the movie on the Disc was Terminator 2.

I had this a while ago with a DVD. Right cover on the case, right artwork on the disc, wrong film playing when film booted up.

Can't remember the name of the film though.
