USA Mars Needs Moms -- August 9, 2011

In an early announcement to retailers, Disney has revealed 2D and 3D releases of Mars Needs Moms will arrive on Blu-ray on August 9th. The computer-animated family adventure marks the final film from Robert Zemeckis' studio ImageMovers Digital, and features the voice talent of Joan Cusack, Dan Fogler, Tom Everett Scott and more.

The 2-disc 2D edition is set to include Blu-ray and DVD copies of Mars Needs Moms, while the 4-disc 3D Combo Pack is set to include both 3D and 2D Blu-rays, as well as standard DVD and Digital copies of the film.

Special features are as follows:

2D Blu-ray
Life On Mars, The Full Motion-Capture Experience: Go behind the scenes to the "space" where the actors' performances are captured. This feature-length, picture-in-picture viewing mode also lets you listen to director Simon Wells and actors Seth Green and Dan Fogler give a fun and insightful look into creating the movie.
4 Blu-ray Exclusive Deleted Scenes with introductions by Simon Wells
3 Additional Deleted Scenes with introductions by Simon Wells
Extended Opening
Fun with Seth
Martian 101
"Flower Power" Easter Egg
