United Kingdom Best Blu-ray bargain you have come across

I've managed to buy that elusive Star Trek steelbook from amazon for £9.56 all in. Sent a pm to the seller to double check it was definately the uk blu not an import or the dvd version and he confirmed it was.

Not a massive fan of the film but it's a nice little package and is obviously going for triple that so not a bad investment.

Have any of you guys managed to pick up any blu's which are usually selling for much more than you paid?

I managed to pick up a minty minty Metallica Francais Pour Une Nuit for free lst weekend, it was showing online in a CEX so I shot down there, took a couple of unwanted dvd's and they actually gave me vouchers for the extra.

Not bad if I do say myself.

I once also managed to find a Star Trek steelbook for £12.50 at play.com.... but it never arrived in the post so I had to get a refund - very annoying as I still want one but they're ridiculously expensive - well done for finding one so cheap!

Other than that, my cheapest Blu-ray so far was Red Road for £3.99... I also managed to get Near Dark for under £5. When I was in the US I picked up some that are more expensive here, or would've been much more expensive to import, like all the 2009 Disney steels and steelbook cases, Unforgiven for about £4.50, and also managed to import Breaking Bad season 1 for about £13.50 including shipping.

The best bargain I got was today from a local shop. I found planet earth on special for $44, the shop had a managers special of 30% off all blu rays and I had a $10 gift card as well as VIP card... Came to $16...saved $28!!

Pretty expensive (about $35?), but the cheapest you can get them anywhere new is instore at BestBuy, which is where I got them. Importing them to the UK via eBay or what have you makes them waaay more expensive.

The recent Asda £5 offer is the cheapest I have seen. I picked up Red and Buried which are pretty recent releases!

Yer that is true. eBay has them for over $50 w/o shipping and amazon for like $70ish.
No matter, this time next year I'm hitting up NY for a major bluray hunt

It's got to be my Australian import of Assault on Precinct 13. All for the princely sum of £1.70 delivered from DVDCrave.

Other than that, I don't tend to get many bargains as I usually buy everything on release.

Nice thread.

I'd say probably Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, since I bought the Combi Pack new with slip for £3.49 from Playtrade. It's funny because lots of companies sell it for a similar price too, which is quite brilliant.

Other ones from Ebay that I've managed are probably Disney Classics in new condition with slip for less than £15 each, sometimes even £11.

Plenty of Best Buys still seem to have them in stock, or you can order them online either for delivery to a nearby store or for home delivery (you could get it delivered to the place you're staying, perhaps even if it's a hotel or something). However Up and Snow White were empty case pre-orders and they might be harder to get hold of.

Had £10 off at PriceMinister - I am a blogger and therefore was given £10 to buy and review a film to advertise them. Contact them if you're a blogger - it's worth it!

Got THE EXORCIST sealed with slip for £0.24

The re-release of the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy for £17.99 at Play.com Ordered it yesterday, good deal, considering the old one is £27.99, and it would've been £34.99 otherwise. Couldn't pass it up

I did a similar thread a while back with members cheapest and most expensive buys. My biggest bargain so far is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2.29 plus P&P but my favourite bargain was The Clone Wars for 3.50 new and sealed (plus P&P) with a lenticular slip! I was like a five year when I saw that one!

Those £5 ASDA Blu were great bargains as well no one else came close to matching their prices so a lot of guys had some great bargains.

Had a few lucky moments, cheapest blu was Casino Royale, was like £3.99 sealed in Gamestation and with money on the points card it made it like £1.80

Then at play.com I've gotten a few of their quick deals like Spider-man trilogy, Dirty Harry Collection & Family Guy It's a Trap LE for £10 each. Made out like a bandit at the recent Disney BOGOF, getting 4 titles for £7.50 each and at the one last year managed to snag a couple at £6 each.
Even though the packaging is basic, the Harry Potter Years 1-6 set deserves a mention, £18 for 6 films is hard to beat even if they are 2 per case

And a thread like this shouldn't go without a mention of the Battle Royale LE, £15 for that thing was a steal.

.

Not the best, but definitely it was worth it.

When Amazon US had the 71% discount I've made use of it and ordered DBZ Kai BD sets.

01 - $15.99
02 - $23.49
03 - $15.99

I could've got DBZ Kai 04 BD for cheaper on Amazon UK third party sellers, but it was too late to cancel the order with Amazon US, not disappointed at all.

Now, just waiting for the fifth part, it shows Furiiza's death.

In July there's gonna be a sh!tload of anime on Blu-ray.
