Default Karate Kid Part III and The Next Karate Kid?

Have you heard something about these two chapters of the saga going on BD? What a shame, I need part III so badly!

"The Karate Kid 2010" isn't even true to the series.

Because the kid learns Kung-fu, not karate!

He said "The Next Karate Kid", not the 2010 remake :P

I'd really like to see both of these put on Blu; its a shame they weren't released with the first two.

Yeah, they just took the name for marketing purposes; its not a part of the franchise.

I want just the first 3 in a box.
I know there is one in Europe, but I'm waiting for a US release too to compare.

I felt the same way but because I like 3 & Next Karate Kid better than 2 but when I found the 2 pack for $5 at Dollar General last week, I caved.

This whole two by two thing is stupid. THE NEXT KARATE KID was all out family film material, whereas the first film was simply a movie that the entire family could perhaps enjoy without blushing. The 3rd film, if I remember correctly, had almost stooped to the level of NKK, but if it had ended with KK3, it would have been remembered by those who remember it as what it was and that'd be the end of it.
THE KARATE KID II was a standard sequel of its time. Good, but not as good at the first. Not surprising, but given asmuch, why it is paired with "part I"?
***
BTW, Part I does not exist. In informal speech and writing, the phraisiology is used, but since when does shorthand get put in place of an actual movie title? --In 1990, the box set that contained the first two GHOSTBUSTERS films was NOT called "GHOSTBUSTERS 1 & 2". It was called GHOSTBUSTERS and GHOSTBUSTERS II. Why? Because there IS NO GHOSTBUSTERS 1. It's just GHOSTBUSTERS. As far as that goes, I understand why the sequel is often bundled with its' predecessor. Fans have always wanted a third film, and even until now, it hasn't happened. Will be happening soon, VERY soon, but to date, it still hasn't happened. That unrelated reboot that has a similar concept but has no similarity in tone or aesthetic can be bought with the other two movies and I have no issue with that, just like I have no issue with all of THE KARATE KID films being bundled together. Granted, Ghostbusters II differed from the original (as THE KARATE KID II differs from THE KARATE KID, duh) but there were also a lot of small stylistic flourishes, most of them being kind of subliminal, like you know they're there because you can feel them standing near you but you can't specifically pinpoint their location within the room..... perhaps most people don't even notice or care, but anyway.........
***
The Karate Kid II and III were both released the same decade as its origin film, so at the very least those two films could be put together in a two pack. If someone wants to buy all the sequels, that's their choice, free market and all. If someone wants to buy all of the sequels and the remake in one package, sure, why not let them? Most of these options are available on some kind of post-VHS format, but this one has either never happened or I'm having a devil of a time finding it online anywhere.
SONY/Columbia Pictures ---- I'm looking at you!
