I know some where not happy with the Synapse transfer of Dorm That Dripped Blood, but I didn't have huge hopes since I heard they used whatever free film stock they could obtain and same with cameras. I thought in the end Dorm looked as could as it honestly could? Maybe?

@Orlando

Really? LOOOOOOOOL
That's the way to threat fans LOL
Well, I hope that this release will look better than Machine Girl. Acoording to their FB page it was a pain in the ass for them to release Beyond the Darkness, because they went through 3 different transfers to find a good one. Let's hope that "good" really means "good" this time.

Yeah, somehow big stores like Amazon and Best Buy don't have it yet, but some random Amazon marketplace seller does.

Looking forward to the thoughts on this release, I've been wanting to bump the thread up for a few days as all I could find online was that about two other people received it (one posting a picture as proof), but not one has posted comments about the content within.

I plan on saving watching the full film Friday nite, I did pop in my blu copy and watched the first 10 or so mins. Opening credits as usual with most films seems soft but most of the film I viewed was slightly on the soft side.

Bit rate is on the high aide usually at about 38mbps I've never seen this film ever and I would imagine it looks as can depending on the film elements used. audio sounds decent enough. I understand high but rate doesn't equate great image, but there seems to be light grain, I didn't notice any banding issues.

Hopefully others who have seen the film will be able to comment more. I have to say I an pleased so far.

The seller is the distributor for Media Blasters, Allegro. Why Allegro haven't been able to get this into Amazon's actual sales system is anyone's guess.

that is about what I paid for my copy with shipping charge from Allegro roughly.

So if you have prime then it helps.

THANK YOU for sounding the alarm on this. No wonder this has primarily been available only through marketplace sellers and Ebay. Basically, supporting MB has become the equivalent of flushing hard-earned money directly down the toilet (money that should be going to companies like BU, Synapse, Midnight Legacy, Severin, etc who give their films RESPECT). It's completely unacceptable to treat customers and fans this way, and those that would still defend Mr. Sirabella and Co. should be ASHAMED of themselves.

Just click on the link, and prepare to be furious!

So, will ML release this, too, as you hinted at in your short stay over at AVManiacs last year?

Would love to see a release of it done properly.

I ordered this the other day...

To the Bay of e it will surely go.

MB need to stop releasing euro-cult movies and leave that to the professionals. It's almost as though they don't even care about the films they are releasing, just as long as they get the ca$h. My hopes for Burial Ground and Zombie Holocaust have diminished greatly...

Damn it, I've been looking forward to this release for centuries. Midnight Legacy should do their own release of Buio Omega.

All will see a proper release of Buio Omega. Complete, properly framed, and from the Super 16 negatives!
