CJ Entertainment has issued a correction for the subtitle issue on Arahan. You can request a disc exchange with your retailer or contact

Ms. Jee-sun Yeom at

That's great news, and turns the CJ blu-ray catalog from "near flawless" to "flawless" .

I've e-mailed to find out of they have an exchange program (and if it's valid outside of Korea).

Even so, if it involves sending the whole package back... I'll probably just end up buying the film again.

I sent them my online receipt with K2DVD and they told me that they will mail out a replacement disc. No need to return my disc or cover.

I had not gotten a chance to order this disc since Yesasia listed it as out of print. What was the subtitle error?

It was a timing error, where the subs would pop up a second or two early. It wasn't consistently off, however, and doesn't seem to bother people. I found it very distracting, particularly when several people are having a conversation, and you're not really sure who's saying what anymore.

Thankfully, "Arahan" is not dialogue heavy.

If you ordered it from K2DVD they will send you this

stocked the disc with corrected subtitle problem. Now
we can replace your disc with the new one. It's all
the same one, but comes just with fixed subtitle.

If you need this corrected disc we will send it soon.

once again. Check your shipping address in your account
on our site since we always use that shipping address.

If the subtitle problem doesn't make you big trouble,
thus if you can keep the current disc then we will
not send this new disc. In this case, we will save
$2 as Thank-you-gift in your account so that you can

Yup. I already put in for my corrected disc. I was liking that you didn't have to send the old disc to them. I often don't have time to do stuff like that. I still haven't upgraded my old Gladiator bluray.

I've never ordered from K2DVD before but it looks like they are on the ball. Yesasia still lists Arahan as out of print.

K2DVD is very reliable. I've never had a problem with them, and they communicate well. I use them more than YesAsia even.

Yes, any Korean purchase I make I use K2DVD, any other purchase I use yesasia unless they do not carry it, then its onto Ebay :]
