I discovered that my windows 7 Media center can record tv shows with a tv tuner attached. Pretty cool. However the file size for a half hour show is about 3 gigs. The PS3 see's .wtv files and can kinda play them but stutters really bad. The computer it's on is wireless and the PS3 is wireless to the router so I'm not sure if the stuttering is because of all the wirelessness or what.
Is there an easy way to watch what I record or convert the files or something? |

I'm running my PS3 with a LAN to my router and my win7 pro desktop is wirelessly connected to my router, however, I cannot for the life of me get my PS3 to see my win7 computer as a media server. All of the settings on my win7 desktop have sharing enabled and allowed to stream to all devices on my network.
I wish I could stream, how did you even get it to work? I don't want to run my PS3 wirelessly just for reasons like you are/may be experiencing as a result of that. |
