Just thought I'd start a seperate thread for people to show their appreciation to Warner for making the right decision and putting an end to the hi-def war. Of course the BDA needs to be thanked and praised as well becasue they must have been talking to WB for a long time convicing them of the right way to go. Awesome way to start out the new year and in perfect time to stir up CES leaving many to scramble of what to do next. Me thinks Universal will be doing some restructuring of their leadership followed by an eventual change to Blu.

I agree. I really appreciate all of the marketing efforts put forth by the BDA and love the fact that the "other side" wasn't on par with them in advertising.
This war is over, despite the few HD-DVD supporters still out there that refuse to give in. You know it's over when HD-DVD cancels their conference at the biggest show of the year. We have been waiting for this day to come everyone. ENJOY IT!!! THE FUTURE IS BLU!!! |

I want that "Citizen Kane" and more classics from WB and thanks for your exclusivity. And The Matrix better be released individually because 2 & 3 made my favorite movie till then go from WOW to aaahhh.

Way to go Warner, thanks for taking that final step and ending this counterproductive war for everyone. Now we can all get what we want!

thanks warner/new line
warner seems to have a brain, unlike para*****. 1. they denied payoff (while para - with exception of those 2 execs declined to comment) 2. they don't seem to be in hurry of discontinuing hd dvd (unlike para, which seems somebody holding a gun at its head) |

I see amirm over there on avs still saying he's so proud of the hddvd loons for their cult-like obsession.
Frankly, it pisses me off. I told that guy in late 06 that he was misleading and ripping people off by pushing that loser format so hard. That guy should hang his head in shame for ripping off so many suckers. |

Thank you Warner for making the right decision. Even though they jerked us around with no lossless audio and withholding titles this makes up for it. the fate of HDM was in their hands. Now we can move on and enjoy HD-Movies and ***** about HDM problems instead of format war problems.
