Calm down with the threads.

Anyway, I hated this film. Being from Brighton and being a fan of the crime genre, I thought I'd enjoy it, but genuinely hated it. The characters, the way the events unfolded, everything. Rubbish.

Being a long time fan of both the original Graham Greene novel and the 1947 film version I truly was not expecting much from this BUT was truly pleasantly surprised. It differs from both and therefore has its own story to tell and this it does wonderfully well. The period is well caught and the film is extremely stylish and very well acted. Much recommended.
