I know I'm probably the only one who cares but, I can't wait for this. This is the one that most resembles the video game and the one I've been waiting for. Here's hopin'....:

I'm hopin' this one really blows the doors off the franchise. I know that's wishful thinking. I actually liked the first two for what they were. The first film has always taken more crap than it deserved IMO. Same with the second film. However, I always argue that if you look at Bloodrayne 2 for what it is, a western with vampires, it works very well. So, going into BR3 I intend to view it as WWII war film with vampires.

I don't like Uwe Boll movies but I'm very interested to watch this Bloodrayne Trilogy.
I still have to watch the In name of the King movie I've got at Wal*Mart for $9! I'm a fantasy movie fan and I like Leelee Sobieski so I wasn't able to pass on that title! But I find it hard to buy the third Bloodrayne on Blu-Ray and get the two first on DVD... I'm most likely to wait for the trilogy on Blu-Ray instead if it's ever happen. amazon.de show bloodrayne's running time as 94 minutes. The uncut is I think 98 minutes. Have the UK dvd of Bloodrayne 3. It's my least favorite of the three... but I've still got the US blu on pre-order. ![]() |

This might be a day one for me - it's coming out on my birthday, and I enjoyed the first two enough as guilty pleasures to import the German Blu-ray set. Fair word of warning to those who choose to, though: they're not the Director's Cuts and seem to use the same masters as the DVDs, just encoded at the higher resolution. The first in particular has the hallmarks of a dated HD master (Slightly excessive DNR, mostly). It's also still a 16:9 crop from the 2.40:1 theatrical ratio.

Back on topic... one thing I'm not liking about this from the trailer is that they replaced Rayne's kickass tonfa-esque swords from the first two with normal ones. Although they're clearly more practical, some of Kristanna Loken's choreography with the original swords was pretty sweet. Then again, when Natassia Malthe replaced her for part two and had to use them, it just looked clumsy (she held them upside down twice, and each time this was magically fixed when it cut to the next shot). I am looking forward to this release. I'm not a huge fan of the series thus far but I did enjoy them. Also, I don't think I need to say this but Natassia Malthe is a total babe. Loved her in what little role she had in Dead or Alive.
Go Natassia! ![]() |
