Default Endgame Strategy - Spread the word about WB

I think the best thing that could help end this war even sooner is word of mouth. And right now while the news is still fresh out there is the best time.

I see some threads out there were some folks are already mentioning how they were at BB or some other retailer and swayed people with HD players all ready to buy to take them out of their cart and head on over to the BD players.

So talk to sales people, customers in a store, blockbuster folks, co-workers, friends and family, etc.

If you have the time go into BB or CC and browse the disc and player sections mentioning the WB news to anyone willing to listen.

Maybe folks here in this thread can suggest some ice breaker ways to start up a conversation politely and so that you don't come across as some nut.

The more folks that you sway away from HD or help others get informed to do the same, will drastically cause HD sales to drop. And that will be a quick motivator for other studios to jump ship or for news outlets to have ammo to comment on how truly the war does indeed look to be coming to an end.

I know I'm doing that on Tuesday when I go pick up Shoot Em Up/3:10 to Yuma/Sunshine/The Rock.

I did that at Block Buster last night.

Great idea.

Most of the staff at various Best Buys and Circuit Citys are fairly clueless. I don't think any staff would notice if someone posted 8" by 11" pages by the HD DVD media section saying that Warner Brothers and New Line are dropping support for the format in big print.

Someone in another thread mentioned this strategy:

Quote:
Everytime someone is there with kids I'll ask the kids if they like Disney movies and as soon as they say 'yes' (they all do), I explain to the parents how HD DVD will never have a Disney movie. Works every time.
And someone mentioned to give them a few websites or places to look and end on:

Quote:
I suggest you investigate more and make your own decision.
