[Show spoiler]I don't think it has only spanish audio. Usually the discs from Disney are identical from the US blu-rays.
I'll tell you when I have it.

Yes, it only has spanish audio.

Wow, that's kind of weird. I wonder why the releases (theatrical and home video as well) were so far from each other.

Will anybody who does speak Spanish interpret for me because I don't understand Spanish?

I believe Winnie the Pooh was out for theaters in Mexico first before the rest of other countries around the world? And then it is now available for on Blu-ray and DVD in the same country first, but has no English audio or subtitles at all?

I am not sure about the subtitles (apparently it only includes spanish subs) but you got it right about this edition including ONLY a spanish dub.
Why Disney did that? I have no idea. First time such thing happens as far as I know.

Anyway most likely it will be re-released in Mexico with the original language. Of course later this year it'll be released in the rest of the world as well.

cheerios.

As Cuau_cg mentioned, the disk ONLY contains Spanish audio... We had the opportunity to watch the movie in theaters last April-May, so Disney released both, the blu-ray and DVD, here in Mexico... I think that it's not worth to buy this Blu-Ray version and I'm sure, after the disk is released in US, Disney will release a new edition with both audio languages, English and Spanish, and will include more features...

I believe Disney Mexico has the rights to this release in Spanish without any other languages. Because the Mexican home video edition for BD/DVD was released in the first place, this would prevent American or non-Latin Spanish international consumers from importing a Spanish-only BD release, and I assume that the BD is Region A and the DVD is Region 4 only. It's the only rare Disney BD/DVD that I've ever known only has Spanish in Mexico. I doubt it'll be re-released with the original language, so you'll have to wait for a U.S./Canadian or other international version that includes such language.

Did the movie in theaters in Mexico use the Spanish version (i.e. voice dubbed, or credits/text, in Spanish)? At the same time, it was also released in theaters in UK on April 15, but not available for Blu-ray or DVD yet. You don't even have to wait for its U.S. home video edition as Winnie the Pooh is now available in U.S. theaters nationwide since July 15. Go to any of those theaters and see the movie offering its original English language.

Anyway, the U.S. home video edition will also include French, and the same edition will be released in Canada. In my opinion, it'll offer English, Spanish, and French subtitles as well.

The UK will get the home video release next month. Sadly it will be on DVD only!

Don't worry; the rest of the world will get the movie's home video release on Blu-ray this fall. I don't think the DVD you cite is relevant here. Would you mind discussing it on particular threads as this thread is about the Mexican BD home video release of Winnie the Pooh?

Sure thing. But there have been no formal Blu-ray announcements from Disney, except for the Mexican disc so far, in Espanol only, and the UK/Europeans are getting no high def release of Winnie The Pooh in Region B.

It just seems very unusual decision-making going on at Disney Home Video around the world right now, and nobody seems to like it.

So who can comment on the Mexican release? Video score? Extras, if any?

I just rented it. TH PQ is excellent. Personally I prefer 2D animation over CGI. Disney makes a great service to that particular style of animation with this transfer.

The AQ, well, it's been already discussed, the only track is Español 5.1 Dolby Digital @ 640kbps
Subs only available in spanish

Extras:

- About 15 min of "deleted" scenes with an introduction from the directors (In English with subs in Spanish)
- A charming animated short (also in 2D) called "The Ballad of Nessie" (In Spanish DD 5.1 w/o subs)
- Trailers and ads for other Disney titles
- DVD copy of the film
All the extras are presented in 1080p.

So it ain't really a bad package. The movie is a truly nice present/gift for the little ones. But then, this edition miss the original audio track. Hence those who can't understand spanish should better wait.

cheers.
